FAMILY LARGEST, FAMILY FAVORITE: We shared some exciting news with our dealers that helps further our family story. First, we announced that Jayco is now the world's largest family-owned RV manufacturer, surpassing our North America distinction. Second, the Jay Flight continued its trend of being the top-selling travel trailer in North America thanks to our resounding 2013 Jay Flight sales, marking the eighth consecutive year it has led the travel trailer market. We owe a lot of this success to you. LAMINATED JAY FLIGHT: Starting this fall, an all-new fiberglass option will be available on Jay Flight and Jay Flight Swift. The front and rear walls feature vacuum bonded layers of fiberglass, perforated lauan, 2x2 wooded studs and fiberglass insulation. On the sidewalls, the fiberglass is pinch rolled with a double layer of perforated lauan to create a durable fiberglass skin. This skin is hung over Jay Flight's 2x2 wood and fiberglass construction. This $1,000 option introduces a more affordable laminated product in the entry-level market, while providing hail-prone regions with laminated Jay Flight. HARD WALL CAMPING TRAILER: For 2014, Jayco is introducing an A-frame, hard wall addition to the Jayco Camping Trailers. The Jay Series Sport Hard Wall combines vacuum-bonded walls with its revolutionary two-piece hard wall roof to create an A-frame design. One person can set up and tear down the unit in 1 minute, while the two-piece roof folds down for a travel-friendly design. The roof features three skylights and a power fan option. An 18,000-BTU Cool Cat Heat Pump is standard in this entry-level camping trailer, while a 16,000-BTU furnace option is available. On the outside, the Jay Series Sport Hard Wall features electric brakes, aluminum rims and a cargo deck. TOY HAULER GROWTH: Dealers got a sneak peek at factory renovations for a dedicated toy hauler production facility. The plant, once the original camping trailer production line, will be revamped to handle the production of Octane and Seismic toy haulers, marking the first time in Jayco history that the toy hauler line will have its own dedicated plant with its own dedicated product developer.
