With the efforts of many Kent businesses, November 26th turned to be a day of giving. A total of $9,978.92 funds were raised and 2,784 lbs food were donated to the Kent Food Bank.
This was a great response by Kent area businesses! Great job!
The Kent Food Bank was able to serve 1010 families with a holiday meal and 3153 individuals.
Director of the Kent Food Bank Jeniece Chaote told Torklift Central that they had turkeys to last the whole day! She also said "This Turkey challenge has changed our holiday Thanksgiving distribution in a great way. Before this drive the Food Bank did not do turkeys. For the past three years we've been able to offer families a turkey".
